Think About...

I love the beauty which the power of quotes can have over a person. I think its beautiful that words can have so much power. Its the only thing which I can think of which has as much power to destroy a person besides weapons or the power to build up a person. It amazes me that we have such power to use as we wish. It is my hope that we can use these words in order to help restore peace and prosperity. I love both the above quotes i think they both have a profound importance on me. It a fact that we all that one person who changed us so much yet we are greatful for this, since it helped us become who we always were. Then the second quote is so beautiful, were all looking for a little bit of love, it doesn't matter if it comes from a parent, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a sibling, or a friend. Just to know that you are loved and love in return is something worth fighting for. God, I think I've gone all romantic and sappy on you, sorry for that. I blame it on I Capture The Castle, since I am re-reading it right now. Its such a good sweet story.

Happiness Is....

Sooooo....... I"M BACK!!!! We just got back early yesterday morning, I could have posted yesterday but as soon as I saw my bed I was cuddled up in its sheets and sleeping. I had been up for more then twenty four hours, with not even a wink of sleep. I have lots to tell you about our crazy time in California but I think I shall save them until I upload some photographs of our trip, that way you will get the whole picture. Though I will tell you I found the most magical magazine store near my great aunt's apartment. When I walked in I felt like I had died and went to heaven, ha! The walls were lined with all sorts of magazines, many of them seriously hard to find where I live too. From Vogue India, Vogue Nippon, to LOVE, to Lula, they had everything! I had been searching for an issue of Lula for over a year and a half when I found one in the store. I was positively thrilled, since the magazine has beautiful photographs and sweet little articles. so now excuse me while I go and study the wonderful photos in Lula.

Flight School

I think I've mentioned a few times on here that I'm off to California tomorrow (yay). So I want to apologize in advanced for my sporadic posting until I get back, in about ten days. I promise it will be all worth it since I plan on showing you lots of photographs from my trip. This is going to be my first time out west, the farthest I have even traveled with in the US is down to the Florida Keys. I am so excited; we are going to be doing lots of sight seeing, eating yummy food, taking lots of photographs, and visiting with family! Unfortunately we are taking the red eye to Cali, yuck! I hate that I can never fall asleep on long flights, I'm usually the only passenger awake while everyone else is in lala land. Oh well, what are you going to do about it? At least I will get a lot of reading done!

Teen Choice

So.... I was watching the Teen Choice awards, you know the one hosted by the Jonas Brothers, when I saw an advert for Bop It. Now as a 90's child I can remember spending hours playing Bop It, granted I sucked at it, but still non-the-less seeing an ad for it brought back some good ol' memories for me. And then of course their was the award for Britney Spears which was given out shortly after seeing the advert, which brought on a whole slew of memories. I can't deny it, I was singing along to all of her songs which were playing in the background of the video. My sister started to yell at me to shut up, she hates when I sing. I don't think your a true 90's child if you can't sing along to every song of Britney's, or for that matter; the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, or Spice Girls (don't forget Hanson too). I just love it when I can get my 90's kick by listening to the music. In fact, the other day I was at a theme park and I herd a Britney classic "Baby One More Time"! Who's to say that the 90's aren't coming back! Ha!

Look At All The Famous People!

Princess Grace Kelly on her wedding day.
Doesn't she look like the epitome of what you imagine
princesses to look/dress like? I have a bit of a soft spot
for royalty, when I was younger I would read up
on all the monarchies (in fact I still do!).
Look its a bird! No, Its a plane! Its just SuperPhelps!
This photo brought a smile to my face, the comparison between
Phelps and Superman.

Randomness

So much to do around here lately; lots of planning for our trip to California, finnishing up summer school (dont worry, I didn't fail, I took the class because I wanted to), and just enjoying summer. Yesterday I went shopping with my mom and sister, it was a hellish experience. My sister is an awful shopper and so I only went for moral support for my mom! Atleast I got a free dinner out of it, at the Cheesecake Factory! Then today I got some bare essential makeup, I cant wait to play around with everything. I just love the fact that bare essentials is all natural minerals, nothings bad for your skin. I just wanted to say happy twentith anniversery to my parents, they've been married for a long time.

YAY!!!

This is a quickie post today, I should be getting ready for my day. I was watching the Today show where they were showing coverage of the two journalists which were arrested in North Korea safe arrival home. Today was showing the live meeting between the journalists and the reunited families. I am not going to lie, when Euna Lee saw her husband and daughter for the first time in four months and started crying, I was crying as well. Sometimes I get very emotionally involved with news stories and this one just had me shedding some tears while eating toast. I think Bill Clinton is a very good diplomat for convincing the North Koreans to free the two women. I am so happy that Euna Lee and Laura Ling and back home safe and sound, yay!

Dancing In A Burning Room

Just got back from mad and gracies where we had a campfire. I smell like burning wood, which surprisingly I love the smell of, just not the smell on me! The smell of burning wood and bugs spray is not a pleasent combo, I think it just atracts the bugs even more! I got bitten up but not nearly as bad as my sister who got eaten alive. I ate tons of burnt marshmellows and smores. I love burnt marshmellows, gracie and I bonded over our love of them, since most people dont understand the joy of eating them. I love summer nights where we just goof off and act like crazy. We even had a singalong! My sister wasn't too fond of our singing but we thought it was pretty fun. Hope your enjoying your summer!
